General
1. Acknowledgements: Orders are acknowledged upon receipt.
2. Combined Quantity Pricing: Not available.
3. Illustrations: Logos used in the catalog are for illustrative purposes only. They do not imply endorsement, nor are items with those imprints available to anyone other than parties expressly authorized by the owner of such designs.
4. Less Than Minimum Charges: From November 21 through December 17, less then minimum orders cannot be processed. Imprinted orders $50.00 (A); Unimprinted orders $20.00 (A). Less than minimum charges will apply for any item for which the minimum quantity is not ordered.
5. Perishability: Natural cheeses and smoked meats need to be refrigerated within 24 hours of receipt. Chocolates and nuts should be stored in a cool, dry place.
6. Returns: Requests for returns must be made within 5 days of receipt. Credit will not be issued for returns made without a return authorization number. Restocking charges will apply to all returns. Because of their perishable nature, smoked meats and cheese cannot be returned for credit.
7. Seasonal Availability: From March 1 to November 1, certain items that can normally be shipped by ground may require special packaging or special shipping. Contact factory for details.
8. Substitutions: Factory reserves the right to substitute items of greater or equal value if necessary to insure on-time shipment. When Canadian shipment is requested for items not available for Canadian shipment, factory will substitute similar items that qualify.

Individual Shipment Details
For extra convenience, your gifts can be shipped individually to each recipient within the United States. These charges are in addition to UPS or Fed Ex residential charges. The cost for this service is $4.00 (G) per address plus shipping charges for shipment via UPS & Fed Ex; $6.00 (G) for shipments via other carriers. All individual shipments to Canada will be shipped via US Mail. When supplied list does not match the quantity on the purchase order, factory will adjust order to match the quantity on the shipping list.

General Requirements
For your convenience we have created a preformatted MS Excel file that you can use to create a properly formatted mailing list. To avoid time delays please reference your company name, contact name and purchase order number when emailing the file.

Either Name or Company may be blank, but not both. Address 2 may be blank. If the item is not the same for all addresses, the 'Item' field must be included. If the quantity per address varies, the 'Quantity' field must be included.

Express Shipping
1. Express Service is only available on items so noted.
2. Order must ship to one location.
3. Orders must include complete details (including shipping information) that do not change upon receipt at Maple Ridge Farms.
4. Imprinted orders must be for straight-line type or include camera-ready artwork that needs no alterations. No paper proofs.
5. Orders must be at least the catalog minimum quantity and not greater than published catalog quantities.
6. Artwork or Digital Files not meeting factory's specifications will not be considered camera-ready and will not qualify for 5 Day Express Service.
7. One Day Service items are blank.

Gift Cards

1. Same message on all cards: $4.00 (C) per card. Limit 15 words.
2. Various Messages on cards: $8.00 (C) per card. Limit 15 words.
3. Size of Cards: Cards measure 4 1/4' x 2 5/8'.
4. Card Enclosure: No charge if all cards are the same and are provided with order. If cards must be matched to individual recipients, or if only certain packages get cards, the charge is $2.50 (G) per card. If cards must be enclosed in provided envelopes, the charge is $0.75 (G) each.

Artwork Information
Artwork Requirements
1. When supplied artwork does not meet factory's requirements for black and white camera ready art, an art charge will apply ($45.00 (G) minimum).
2. Shadowing, screens, halftones, and very fine or intricate detail cannot be used for foil-stamping or firebranding. To avoid delays and extra charges, please read and follow the following instructions carefully. The cost to clean up artwork, change or eliminate halftones or shadowing (when possible) is $90.00 (Z) per hour, 1/2 hour minimum.
3. Size of Artwork: Indicate if supplied artwork is 'to size'. If not to size, indicate at what percentage it should be shot or what the finished size should be (i.e. make 4' wide). Factory will enlarge or reduce artwork (50% to 200%) at no charge. When maximum imprint area is requested, or when percentage is not specified, factory will use its best judgement to achieve an attractive imprint.
4. Camera Ready Artwork: High contrast black and white line art is required for best reproduction. [EMPH]Type characters or line that are within 1/16' on finished art will fill in. The smallest type that can be clearly reproduced is 8 pt. Sans serif, or 12 pt. Serif.
5. Art Charges: An art charge of $45.00 (G) applies for paste-up of straight-line copy to a logo or stock designs pasted up with copy or logo. Revisions to art will be billed $45.00(G) each.
6. Repeat (foil-stamped ribbon only): Imprint repeats approximately every 3 - 5 inches.
Digital Artwork Specifications
1. Electronic artwork cannot be accepted unless it is accompanied by jpeg or PDF file; or a faxed copy of the artwork for verification. If no laser or fax copy of artwork is accompanied, Maple Ridge Farms is not responsible for changes that have occured during submission.
2. Artwork: Must be black and white with no halftones, screens, or shading.
3. Preferred Programs: Adobe Photoshopᆴ, Adobe Illustratorᆴ (convert text to paths, curves or outlines).
4. Acceptable Programs: Corel Draw.
5. File Information: Convert text to paths, curves, or outlines (vector art - text that becomes an object and can no longer be edited as text.) If this is not possible, send in PC compatible screen and printer fonts used only for the job submitted.
6. Preferred Formats: TIFF or EPS. If sending a TIFF, it must be scanned between 300 dpi (minimum) and 1200 dpi (preferred).
7. Type, Rules, and Outlines: Sans-serif fonts are recommended for type smaller that 12 point. No type should be smaller than 8 point. Avoid outline, bold and shadow-effect fonts. All rules and outlines should be 1 point or greater.
8. Additional Information: Disks will not be returned.
9. The cost to clean up artwork or change or eliminate halftones or shadowing (when possible) is $112.5 (G) per hour, 1/2 hour minimum. This will also add 1 day of production time.
Imprinting Information
1. Layout: If layout is not supplied, factory will use its best judgement.
2. Location of Imprint: Unless otherwise specified, and acknowledged by factory, imprint will be in standard location.
3. Special Location Imprint (Firebranding only): $62.50(G) set-up charge. Layout showing position of imprint must accompany order.
4. Personalization: Not available.
5. Pre-Production Proofs: Billed at end column price and shipped within 7 working days. Order can ship within 5 days of proof approval.
6. Oversized Imprints: Most wooden boxes will accommodate an imprint larger than the standard imprint area. A $62.50 (G) charge applies. Oversized imprint (Item #OI) must be requested on purchase order and a layout showing exact size of requested imprint must accompany order.
7. Repeat (foil-stamped ribbon only): Imprint repeats approximately every 3-5 inches. There is approximately 2-2 1/2 inches in between each imprint.

Production & Shipping Information
1. Production Time: 7 working days from receipt of complete order for imprinted and unimprinted orders. Complete order means: purchase order, artwork, enclosure cards, shipping instructions and complete and accurate mailing list if individual shipment is requested. 5-Day Express Service is available on specific items where noted.
2. Rush Service: Usually available at an extra charge. Contact factory prior to placement of order to obtain ship date.
3. Methods: Standard: Ground. Best: Overnight, 2 Day, or 3 Day service available. Orders that request shipping charges to be prepaid and added to the invoice will have the gross freight charges added.
4. Addresses: Addresses must contain name, street addresses, apartment or suite numbers, city, state and correct zip code. UPS and Federal Express will not deliver to PO boxes and will not accept addresses without correct zip code. The cost to find and correct zip codes is $5.00 (G) per package. Factory cannot be responsible for lost or delayed packages because of insufficient address. Credit is not provided for packages that are returned because of inadequate or inaccurate address. Non-pershiable items are given to the Salvation Army, perishable items are destroyed.
5. C.O.D. Shipments: Not available.
6. Foreign Shipments: Because of changes in customs procedures, foreign shipments to destinations other than Canada can no longer be accommodated. Foreign shipments via US Mail $12.50 (G) per location; UPS and Federal Express $50.00 (G) per location; DHL and other carriers $75.00 (G) per location. Shipping charges are additional. All individual shipments (including third-party bill to orders) will be shipped via US Mail.
7. Shipping Weights: Approximate shipping weights are shown in online catalog. Dimensional weights used for determining air shipment charges are higher for certain gift baskets. Refer to price grids for dimensional weights.
8. Shipping Dates: Desired ship date must be specified. Allow adequate transit time from Wisconsin factory. Please indicate {EMPH]"in hand date". Factory cannot be responsible for delivery date, as transit time is not in its control. If you need assistance in determining ship date, contact factory. Most carriers do not guarantee transit time during December.
9. Split Shipments (multiple ship dates): $12.50 (G) per shipment.
10. Handling Charge: $4.00 (G) per carton (bulk shipments only).
11. Bills of Lading: For shipments via carriers that require a bill of lading or airbills, factory will prepare bills at $6.25 (G) each.

Changes To Orders
1. Changes to orders already in production will result in delayed shipment. The charge for changing an order that is in production is $30(Z) plus the cost of any work that must be redone. This includes changes in quantity, ship method, ship date, address, item or imprint. No changes to orders can be made within 48 hours of shipment.
2. Additions to orders already in production will be handled in the following manner.
A. A new purchase order is required.
B. If the addition is less than one-half the catalog minimum, the following Less Than Minimum Charges applies: $25(A) for imprinted orders; $10(A) for unimprinted orders.
C. The addition will be produced based upon factory's normal production schedule.
D. Price per unit will be determined by the quantity of the addition, not the quantity of the original order.
